July Book Sales Released
E-books continued their fast pace growth in July, according to the Association of American Publishers (AAP). E-books sales rose 105% in July according to the AAP survey of top publishers. The adult hardcover segment had one of its best months with sales up 33.9% in July. This was uncharacteristic as this segment has been down all year until July. The hardcover segment is down 18% for the year. Sales in all other print trade segments were all down double digits. The religious segment was virtually flat in July. Year-to-date, this segment is up 11.5%.
